Nightingale Hospital appoints a new lead consultant psychiatrist for addictions
Nightingale Hospital is delighted to announce the appointment of Dr Anshul Swami as its new lead consultant psychiatrist for its addictions service.
Dr Swami assumes the role, following three years of strong leadership under consultant psychiatrist Dr Andrew Parker.
“Over many years, Nightingale Hospital has built a strong reputation for its mental health and addiction treatment,” said Dr Swami.
“We have a confident and highly skilled team that transforms patients trapped by their addictions, into physically strong and enlightened individuals keen to start the long journey of recovery.
This is an exciting time for me, and I hope to support my colleagues in blending Nightingale and Start2Stop into a new recovery equation,” he said.
Akthar Hussain, Managing Director of Nightingale Hospital, shared his delight at welcoming Dr Swami into the post and recognising Dr Andrew Parker’s contributions.
“Dr Swami has worked and led addictions services in both the NHS and private sector and brings an incredibly high level of expertise and passion to the role.
We thank Dr Parker and the wider addictions team for their incredible contribution and extend a warm welcome and congratulations to Dr Swami,” he said.
Dr Andrew Parker will remain as a visiting consultant at Nightingale Hospital, continuing his private practice.
