Professional experience

Jan Erik qualified as an addiction therapist in 2011 and earned his postgraduate diploma in counselling psychology in 2023. He has worked in both inpatient and outpatient addiction treatment settings at Priory and one of the largest rehab centres in Sweden, supporting clients from diverse age groups and backgrounds. His expertise encompasses all forms of addiction, including substances and compulsive behaviours, with a specialisation in sex and love addiction. He also worked with young adults at the charity Depaul, assisting them with issues such as anxiety, depression, relationship difficulties, and trauma. Jan Erik has experience in both short and long-term therapy.

Jan Erik takes an integrative approach, utilising a variety of psychotherapeutic methods and models. He believes that each individual is unique and works collaboratively with clients, tailoring treatment to meet their specific needs and goals. Jan Erik addresses a range of ‘problems in living,’ including addiction, anxiety, depression, self-esteem, work-life balance, stress, trauma, and relationship issues. Regardless of what the client brings, he is passionate about helping them overcome their challenges and unlock their potential so they can live a fulfilling and authentic life.
