Dr Ekaterina Yurtaeva is a Counselling Psychologist, registered and licensed as a Practitioner Psychologist with the Health and Care Professions Council in England (UK). In her clinical practice, she works with individuals from diverse backgrounds. She has extensive experience working with adult populations in the NHS and the private sector, including providing mental health support to frontline and emergency NHS staff, as well as individuals experiencing acute distress and psychological trauma.

Dr Ekaterina Yurtaeva practices using an integrative approach that combines traditional CBT and third-wave therapies with a trauma-informed, humanistic, and relational value base. Throughout her training and professional roles, she has worked with adults experiencing complex trauma, work-related stress, anxiety, depression, self-harm, and chronic health conditions.

Dr Ekaterina Yurtaeva has co-authored a chapter entitled “The Role of Culture in Intercultural Love and Romantic Relationships” in The Routledge International Handbook of Interracial and Intercultural Relationships and Mental Health.
She also has a special interest in working with culturally diverse individuals and continues to develop and publish research in the field.
