Phoebe is an experienced integrative counsellor and psychotherapist who has worked with a diverse range of clients in various settings, including GP surgeries as part of the IAPT model, low-cost therapy services like Headstrong, and with young creatives at prestigious institutions such as the Royal Academy of Dramatic Arts. She also runs a private practice in both Central and Greater London.
Phoebe offers both online and face-to-face therapy and has extensive experience supporting clients dealing with depression, anxiety, insomnia, PTSD, panic attacks, suicidal ideation, relationship and interpersonal difficulties, as well as those who have experienced sexual, physical, or mental abuse, childhood trauma, trauma in adulthood, bereavement, and clients with partners in palliative care. She also supports individuals questioning their sexuality or gender.
As a GSRD-affirmative therapist, Phoebe has experience working with members of the LGBTQ+ community. She is a trauma-informed somatic psychotherapist, having trained with renowned somatic trauma specialist Babette Rothschild.
Before her career in therapy, Phoebe worked in the creative arts as a performer in the entertainment industry for many years.
Personal statement
As a relational integrative psychotherapist, Phoebe draws from a wide range of skills and modalities to tailor her therapeutic approach to the unique needs of each patient. With warmth, empathy, and compassion at the core of her work, she strives to build a trusting space where patients feel safe to share and explore.
Phoebe’s foundation is rooted in the philosophy of the person-centred approach. She trusts in the direction her clients wish to explore and believes in every individual’s potential for growth. Phoebe is also influenced by psychodynamic philosophies and considers how our childhood experiences and key patterns of attachment to primary care givers in our early years influence how we relate to ourselves, others and the world around us.
As a somatic trauma-informed psychotherapist, Phoebe is well-versed in both old and new research that informs her approach to navigating trauma in both the body and mind. She works creatively, with a special interest in how tuning into the body, as well as using mental imagery and metaphor, can deepen and enhance the therapeutic experience.
