The main purpose of the job
- Preparing meals for patients in the hospital, under the guidance of the HeadChef and Sous chef.
- To prepare, cook and present dishes in accordance with speciality
- Supervise and assist members of staff working with you
- Assist the Head Chef and Sous Chef to create and develop new dishes and menus
- Monitor portion and waste control.
- Ensure you and your team maintain a high standard of cleanliness and food hygiene, meetingrequired quality standards
- Ensure the rules relating to health and safety are adhered to at all times
- Responsible for keeping up-to-date with hospital policies and procedures

Requirements
- Health & safety and food hygiene course certificates
- A minimum of 3 years kitchen experience
- Great cooking skills
- Pastry skills
- Exceptional presentation with a passion for food
- Ability to multi-task and work well under pressure
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Ability to delegate appropriately
- A flexible approach towards shift requirements and to undertake tasks as requested by the Head Chef.
- Ability to undertake all mandatory training.
- Fluent in English, both verbal and written
